Let’s Talk about Nacho Business

by | Apr 20, 2022

Let’s talk about nachos!!!! Now I don’t know about you guys, but I have been seeing reviews and comments about Nacho Business in Tulsa everywhere, so I had to try it! On this particular Saturday, they closed down for a few hours but open back up at 6 PM, just enough time for the dinner rush!

I arrived right at 6:00 p.m., the first thing I noticed was the cool signage. It cycled through deep background colors, and there was a line of what looked to be a couple dozen people. As the door opened, I heard a voice yell come on let’s eat some nachos! It’s always great to find a place where a restaurant engages with their customers rather than just opening the door and walking away.

There was a little bit of a line, and the young lady at the counter did a wonderful job answering everybody’s questions about the menu. There was a ton of options. And it wasn’t just nachos. You can have toppings put on waffle fries, wontons etc. They also established combinations, burritos, desserts and appetizers.

I got nachos with the white queso, cilantro, refried beans, cotija cheese, avocado ranch and barbacoa. The young lady at the counter said they marinate the barbacoa beef for 22 hours. I also added seasoned corn. I know what you’re going to say hey Steve you don’t eat vegetables. Yeah well maybe I’m turning over a new leaf! Also, I figured it would mitigate the reduced transit time caused by all that cheese! Regardless.. my body my choice!

Anywho… We found ourselves a table, and before I could get my soda, the nachos were already coming out. This is kind of cool. Sometimes you’re in a hurry. You go to a restaurant, and you have to wait. This is understandable especially at a good restaurant. The nice thing about nachos is even with fresh good ingredients, you can get your meal quickly.

Now let’s talk about the portions. They’re huge. We shared a half order of nachos which is their smallest portion and it was plenty. A pile of nachos, and the ingredients were great. The beans were good, the queso was good, the barbacoa was really good, as was the avocado ranch. I love the fact that they had cotija cheese. If you’ve never had it, it’s kind of like a Parmesan cheese, but with a little more twang. Anytime I go to a Mexican restaurant I get it if it’s available.

I forgot to take a picture of my receipt but it was $16 or $17 before tip for the nachos and a drink. Everybody was really nice, the staff checked up on us multiple times, even offering to bring us more nachos. I also heard them asking other patrons if they had enough to eat offering them more as well.

What else is there to say? Who doesn’t like nachos? So the next time you have a hankering, this is the place to go. You’re going to get all the nachos you want, the way you want, at a reasonable price, at a place that cares about their customers and treats you well. It’s a cool spot for a fun meal! You’re missing out if you don’t give them a try!
